Hamjambo watu (ofwel beste mensen),<\/p>\n

Het is alweer oktober en de voorbereidingen voor de projecten die we eind dit jaar en begin 2025 in Tanzania gaan realiseren zijn in volle gang. De hoogste tijd voor een update.<\/p>\n

Zoals jullie wel bekend is werken we in Tanzania samen met lokale vrijwilligers, schoolhoofden en een stichting. In samenspraak bekijken we welke scholen we faciliteren en voor welke kinderen de nood voor het betalen van het schoolgeld, lunches of schoolbenodigdheden het hoogst is.<\/p>\n

Samen werken we aan een duurzame en structurele oplossing voor alleenstaande moeders door empowerment projecten te ondersteunen zodat zij in de toekomst voor zichzelf en hun kinderen kunnen zorgen.<\/p>\n

In januari ga ik weer naar Tanzania en gaan we, naast onze gebruikelijke ondersteuningsprojecten voor kinderen en alleenstaande moeders, de komende periode ook twee andere projecten realiseren.<\/p>\n

Waterbron Ya Msingi Mkolowony primary school
\n<\/strong>Voor de Ya Msingi Mkolowony basisschool in Moshi gaan we een watervoorziening realiseren. De basisschool bevindt zich in een arm, afgelegen gebied waar de waterbron tijdens de droge periodes opdroogt. Door de watervoorziening te bouwen is er ook in deze periodes voldoende water beschikbaar voor hygi\u00ebne, koken en andere essenti\u00eble behoeften.<\/p>\n

Renovatie Ashira primary school
\n<\/strong>Het andere project dat we gaan realiseren is de renovatie van twee ruimtes naar slaapkamers bij de Ashira Primary school. De leefruimtes zullen door aankomende leerkrachten worden gebruikt. De doelstelling van dit project is om de kostenpost voor de school met betrekking tot de inwoning voor de beginnende leerkrachten te verlagen. Zodra de leerkrachten voldoende praktijkervaring hebben, gaan ze op een andere school werken waar ze een volwaardig salaris ontvangen.<\/p>\n

Voor beide projecten hebben wij sponsors gezocht en gevonden! We zijn ontzettend blij met de sponsoring van stichting Bisschop Bekkers<\/a> and stichting Vincentius<\/a>. Door hun bijdrages is het voor ons mogelijk om beide projecten te realiseren.<\/p>\n
